Even though NIT was founded by neurologists and stroke experts, and plans to use stroke as a market entry point, it should be noted that when developed, our devices will be applicable to other diseases as well, opening up the company’s opportunity to much wider markets. We summarize here two of these opportunities, peripheral arterial disease and myocardial infarction.

In these two types of situations, it is generally recognized that the best way is to mechanically open the artery. NIT has the opportunity to engage the clot, provide lytics (or “the magic potion”), and restore flow. Once you restore flow, you make the environment easier to work in, opening up the opportunity to do other things.
